Destination Fish

Fishing has been great for Snook during December and so far in January. Generally the period of their spawn. Guapote ( rainbow bass ) is always very good during the dry season in March, April and May. Tarpon are always here, but the best months are September and October. However the most exciting news is the construction of our long awaited airstrip. The Ministers of Tourism and the Interior are arriving Monday 1/12/09 at San Juan del Norte, along with the top Military Generals to announce to the villagers the new airstrip.

Now instead of a trip of 4 to 7 hours to arrive at the lodge it will be a mere 30 minutes. Of course there are those of us, myself included, who will miss the jungle ride in and out.

Our new web site will be on line in another couple of weeks at www.rioindio.com

Feliz Año to all my friends Mike Blue Wing Intl. www.bluwing.com.
